On Friday 22nd July 2011 to Saturday 23rd July 2011. Local voluntary charity 'Troopbox' will be taking donations for the troops on the front line from the public. At Tesco Extra at Lee Mill, near Ivybridge, just off the A38 and also at Tesco Launceston, Cornwall. ?Please look at the website to find out further information http://www.troopbox.co.uk/

We support the troops by supplying them with items they request, such as long life food, sweets, underwear, toiletries. ?They are designed to boost morale and are sent to those troops that request them, they are often then forwarded to troops who do not have family and friends to send them mail, or those troops who are in the FOB's (forwards operating bases) where the facilities are extremely basic and the food often limited to foil sachets.

Shopping lists of suitable items are on the website and will be available as handouts in store.

Please come along and support our appeal, letters and messages of support also encouraged as these will accompany the donations in the boxes.

Thank you letters from the troops on display to read, which provide a real insight into life on the front line.
